An idea becomes useful when it helps someone do something they care about. Before choosing a technology, it helps to understand that person, the task, and the friction in their current experience.

Define the smallest useful outcome

Describe the result in one sentence. Who is it for? What can they accomplish? What would tell you it worked? A narrow outcome makes design and engineering decisions more concrete.

A first version can be small while still being complete. It should let someone follow a real path from beginning to end, with clear feedback along the way.

Build, observe, refine

Put a working version in front of people early. Watch where they hesitate. Ask what they expected to happen. The most valuable changes are often clearer words, fewer steps, or better recovery when something goes wrong.

Software grows through that cycle. Keep what helps, question what gets in the way, and make the next useful improvement.
