Rewrite a role description around actual work
Turn a manager’s notes into clear responsibilities, essential requirements, and open questions without adding credentials or employment promises.
A role description should tell applicants what work they will do and what evidence of ability matters. An assistant can make a manager's notes clearer without inventing requirements.
Prepare the input
Provide actual responsibilities, working conditions that have been approved, essential skills, and skills that can be learned. Identify missing salary, location, or employment details as questions for the owner.
Run the workflow
Ask for a plain-language draft with essential and desirable criteria separated. Require a source for each requirement. Remove vague personality demands only with an explanation for the reviewer.
Prompt to copy
Manager notes: [notes]. Approved employment facts: [facts].
Draft responsibilities, essential criteria, learnable skills,
and what the applicant can expect from the process.
Map every requirement to a stated job responsibility.
Do not add degrees, years of experience, benefits, or salary.
List unresolved employment details for human completion.
Review a worked example
Illustrative work involves preparing service schedules and handling changes. The draft can ask for evidence of organization and communication. It should not add a degree or five years of experience absent from the brief. Check that every requirement serves an actual task.
Check whether every essential criterion is genuinely essential on the first day. A skill that can be learned should not silently become an exclusion. Keep wording specific to the work and have the responsible owner review employment terms. Clearer writing must not change the actual role without a deliberate decision.
Use it again
Have the hiring and employment owners approve the final wording before publication. Keep a record of deliberate requirement changes. See Bot for preparation or contact Golub about a connected editorial workflow.
